CFISD Press Release 02-16-09: District swimmers qualify for state championships

Jonathan Edwards and Kathryn Eckhart both qualified for the State Meet in two weeks. Boys 400 Freestyle Relay also qualified for the state meet finishing 3rd at the Regional Meet. Peter O'Brien, Keith Murphy, Elliott Joern and, Jonathan Edwards.

Jonathan Edwards won both his events and was named swimmer of the meet. He set a new Regional record in the 200 Individual Medley and broke the pool record in the 100 backstroke.

Kathryn Eckhart finished 2nd in both her events, 50 Freestyle and 100 Back. She broke both Cy Creek school records in both those events.
